What is B. Pharma. (Bachelor of Pharmacy)?
B. Pharma. also is known as the Bachelor of Pharmacy is a bachelor's academic degree in the field of pharmacy. B. Pharmacy is the study of various subjects that come under pharmaceutical science such as drug safety, discovery, medical chemistry, industrial pharmacy, and several other subjects. This degree is apt for those individuals who are interested in becoming pharmacists and want to know how various medicinal drugs affect a human body.

B. Pharma. (Bachelor of Pharmacy) Courses
For bachelors, there are primarily four types of pharmacy courses, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Pharmacy (lateral entry), Pharmacy (Hons.) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (Ayurveda).

Bachelor of Pharmacy
Students who are interested in understanding how medicinal drugs affect our bodies and want to take up pharmacy as a career. To pursue a Bachelor of Pharmacy, students should clear their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology as core subjects. The duration of the course is four years, where students learn several trade skills.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (Lateral Entry)
Lateral entry to B. Pharmacy is given to those students who have done their Diploma in Pharmacy or D. Pharma and are interested in going for higher studies in pharmacy. The lateral entry scheme allows the candidate to get admission in the second year of B. Pharma. Due to this, the duration of the course is three years.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.)
Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.) is an undergraduate degree that is awarded to those who have completed the pharmacy study across eight semesters. B. Pharma (Hons.) gives exposure to students in the field of pharmacy. There are various aspects, technicalities, and rules of pharmacy that are taught to the students.
